Custer Public Power District Announces Planned Outage For Thedford, Seneca, Mullen.
The outage should begin around 2pm Thursday. According to officials with CPPD, there will be a planned power outage beginning at about 2pm Thursday, November 20. Custer Public Power states that this planned outage would affect customers in the Thedford, Seneca and Mullen areas for a couple hours as they do some pre-winter preparations and do some fixes while the weather is still mild. Deer Shot Illegally in Cherry County
KVSH radio confirmed with local Nebraska Game and Parks Conservation Officers that they are looking for information about the illegal killing of a white-tailed buck in Cherry County at McKelvie National Forest. The incident reportedly occurred around November 14th or 15th in Cherry County. The 15th was the opening of the firearm deer season in Nebraska. Big Game Meeting Across the State
Hunters and landowners are encouraged to offer their feedback on big game information during the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s public meetings in December and January. These 2½-hour meetings are scheduled in each Game and Parks district. All in-person meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. local time.
